My Myasthenia Gravis

If you are a healthy individual, the immune defenses protect your body cells from outside invaders. On the other hand, when you develop autoimmunity, your immune system may mistakenly attack your body's own cells instead of protecting them. Autoimmunity can affect almost any of your body organ or body system. The exact problem you may have with autoimmunity depends on which of your body tissues are targeted by your immune system. For example, if your skin is targeted, you may have skin rashes, blisters, or color changes; if your thyroid gland is affected, you may feel extremely tired, sensitive to cold, and muscle aches; if your joints are attacked, you may have rheumatoid arthritis, which results in severe joint pain, stiffness, and loss of function.
More than two decades ago, I was afflicted with myasthenia gravis, which is one of 100 types of autoimmune diseases, including multiple sclerosistype 1 diabetes mellitus, and rheumatoid arthritis, among many others.
Myasthenia gravis is one the many autoimmune diseases, which, according to Western medicine, offers no known cure, except controlling or suppressing its many symptoms. This book is based on my own experience of battling against my myasthenia gravis: how I stopped all my medications through a holistic approach to controlling and managing the disease. This book provides deep insight and well-researched information that I would like to share with those who are afflicted with myasthenia gravis or any other autoimmune disease.
Albert Einstein once said: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as if nothing is a miracle; the other is as if everything is a miracle.” You may not believe in the miracle of self-healing. According to Western medicine, there is no known cure for myasthenia gravis, or any of the more than 100 types of autoimmune diseases. No matter what you believe in, the reality is that the disease symptoms are there, and you have no choice except to deal with them. Norman Cousins, the author, once said: "The human body experiences a powerful gravitational pull in the direction of hope. That is why the patient's hopes are the physician's secret weapon. They are the hidden ingredients in any prescription." So, find your own ingredients in your prescription for a cure of your myasthenia gravis.
My Myasthenia Gravis covers every aspect of holistic health to cope with autoimmunity: body detox, diet, lifestyle changes, exercises for muscle weakness, and mental relaxation techniques for vision problems.
Here is a summary of what the book covers:
  • The potential causes of autoimmunity
  • Why some are more susceptible to autoimmune diseases
  • The importance of cellular health
  • The damaging free radical
  • How to protect and enhance the immune system
  • The author’s own story: the diagnosis, the treatment, the awakening, and the recovery
  • Healing begins with the mind, and not the body
  • The dangers of drugs and steroid therapy
  • The importance of internal cleansing
  • Using foods as medicine
  • Lifestyle changes
  • Relaxation and immune diseases
  • Coping with muscle weaknesses, especially the eye-muscle
If you or your locws ones are afflicted with an autoimmune disease, My Myasthenia Gravis may be right for you. The doctors may give their aspects of the disease from the perspectives of Western medicine, but you, as the patient afflicted with an autoimmune disease, should empower yourself with information, especially the mind power, to overcome the disease and live as if everything is a miracle.
